Cognac is a distillate of white wine,
which is then matured in oak barrels. Cognac is a distillate
from the Cognac region and is produced only in this
region, north of Bordeaux.

Raymond Ragnaud is one the finest producers
of cognac. All their production comes from the Grande
Champagne region, which has a 1er Cru/Grande Cru classification.
This means that distillates from other regions are not
used and that is why their quality classification differs
from the traditional one.
